To solve part 15 b, identify the right triangle formed by the roof overhang and use the tangent function to find the height of the shaded wall. Subtract this height from the total wall height of 20 ft to determine the illuminated section. Use the angle of elevation of the sun, which is 28°, to calculate the necessary height.
